Frequently Asked Questions About Group Bookings

1.Are there any benefits to booking as a group?

Negril Hotels Jamaica is happy to provide one free room night for every 10 paid room nights. Free rooms are subject to a US$2 per room, per night room tax and a US$15 per room, per night service charge.
A maximum of two free rooms per group stay applies.

2.How many rooms are required for a group booking?

Group reservations are available for a minimum of eight rooms and a maximum of 32 rooms, and must be used by parties traveling together over the same travel dates and for the same purpose.
Group bookings are subject to availability.
Negril Hotels Jamaica will not accept any reservations for five or more rooms over the same travel dates on any single reporting transmission.

3.Is there a minimum stay required for groups?

Yes, a seven-night minimum stay is required for all group bookings in high season.
A three-night minimum stay is required for all group bookings at all other times.
Blackout dates may apply.

4.What is the payment and cancellation policy?

A 10% deposit is due at the time of booking.
A 50% deposit is due 90 days prior to the group’s arrival.
The final payment is due 60 days prior to the group's arrival.
Groups wishing to cancel 91+ days prior to arrival are subject to a cancellation penalty of US$150.
Groups wishing to cancel 61-90 days prior to arrival will forfeit their initial 10% deposit.
Groups wishing to cancel 45 to 60 days prior to arrival are subject to a cancellation penalty equal to two nights per contracted room.
Groups wishing to cancel 30 to 44 days prior to arrival will forfeit their full payment, including all deposits, subsequent and final payments.
A $250 cancellation fee applies to all wedding packages and is non-refundable.

5.How does your attrition policy work?

Upon receipt of a signed contract, Negril Hotel Jamaica agrees to take the contracted room block out of inventory and the client agrees to fully utilize the room block and/or food and beverage and meeting functions with the number of participants as outlined in the agreement.
91+ days prior to the date of arrival, the group can reduce the group block with no penalty with careful consideration to the group policies.
From 61 to 90 days prior to arrival, the group has an allowable reduction of 20% of the room block. Any rooms released at this time over the allowable 20% are subject to a penalty of one night each.
From 31 to 60 days prior to arrival, the group has an allowable reduction of 10% of the room block. Any rooms released at this time over the allowable 10% are subject to a penalty of two nights each.
From 1 to 30 days prior to arrival, no further reduction is allowed. Any rooms released or canceled will be subject to a penalty equivalent to the total value of nights reserved.

6.What if someone in my group doesn't show up?

If a room is contracted and the guest does not check-in, a penalty equivalent to the full room revenue applies. Should the rooms be resold for one or more of the contracted night(s), hotel management, at its sole discretion, consider waiving penalties.
