Our family stayed with you from June 10th through the 15th. I wanted to thank you all for such a great stay. The motel was great and we felt very safe on the beach as well. Hi everyone Ive sent various messages but not sure if you got them. We jsut wanted to say what a good time we had at your hotel in March/April and wanted to thank everyone for the hospitality and service we received during our stay. We wanted to thank everyone personally bt too many to mention. We especially wanted to thank Callin,the security man (he gave his address but we lost it..maybe he could send it us), the cook in the resturant for her friendly smile and greeting each morning,and for making my 50th birthday extra special. The resturant staff were great..cant remember all their names but they were so polite and helpful. The housekeepers who did a wonderful job. The road crosser who made sure we were safe. Micheal on the beach and his staff. The reception staff who changed our money and our towels..they were always so friendly and polite. The hotel manager Paul. We are definately coming back. Just a note to say thank you for a wonderful holiday. The room was great, spotless and comfortable. Legends is a fantastic hotel and we just wish the rest of the people in Jamaica could have been as friendly and helpful as all at Legends. We visited Samsara a few times and had great fun snorkelling up there. I also passed my Advanced Open Water diver while on holiday – result! Particular thanks go to Tiffany and Christine, the service we received was outstanding.

I wanted to let you know that Yancy and I really enjoyed our stay once again. All of the staff was outstanding! Sounds like some remodeling is being done as we speak. We had the pleasure of staying at Samsara for 2 weeks in January 2009. It was literally paradise for us. The surroundings are peaceful, beautiful and comfortable. The staff of Samsara is absolutely terrific. Made us feel right at home and that we were visiting with friends. We made our home on the Garden Side and felt we had the best of both worlds. The peace, serenity and lush gardens offered solitude. Across the street, we entered a different world of spectacular sunsets, the pools and best of all; a world of new friends. Thank you to all; specially Peter (security), Collin, Rose (fantastic food) and Lovene. Our cabin was always spotless and with all the comforts and then some. Just had to let you know that we are already planning our stay at Samsara in January of 2010. We look forward to seeing everyone again and "Coming Home to our Beloved Jamaica".

Hi, I just wanted to send you a note to let you know what a wonderful time I had last week at Legends Resort. Everyone who works there is fantastic! The front desk and housekeeping staff were great! Mike was on the ball every day at the beach taking care of the people at Legends. He was very attentive and routinely checked with all of the guests to make sure that everything was ok, and always took care of business protecting the beach/customers from people who shouldn't be there. Ramsey was so kind, friendly and always there to help us across the street and made sure our ride got there on time. It's because of staff like this who are such a pleasure to be around that makes me want to come back each year now! See you next year!

Just wanted to drop you a quick note, to let you know what a wonderful time Bob & I had at SamSara...spending the New Year's holiday was sooo good. I know I probably sound like a broken record, but you & Maurice really have a great place with the most fantastic staff...we definitely feel right at home & enjoy our Jamaican "family" during our vacation. Too bad REAL family can't be like this...We're already looking forward to coming back again for the holidays...it's where we NEED to be!!! People often ask, why do you keep going back to SamSara?? Why not try some other resort?? Hello beautiful Jamaica! I was at the beautiful Samsara Resort last Februrary and I had the chance to experience all that it has to offer: the crystal blue water, the cliffs, the comfort, the friendliness and oh!, the ever so delicious Pumpkin soup! I thought I had died and gone to heaven at my first sip! I have been looking for that soup ever since and although I searched the web and the cooking books, I never found the exact same soup. The object of my email today is to ask if you could find the time and the kindness in your hearts to send me the receipe... Hi, We just returned from two weeks at Legends and we had a fabulous time staying at your hotel. I had my three children, my mum and my aunt with me and they really enjoyed themselves. Your staff were polite and friendly and the security staff were great - special tahnks to Michael, Orett and to the staff who crossed us over the busy main road every day.My mum and aunt enjoyed the tranquility of your sister hotel - Samsara and the kids were intrigued when they saw three dolphins passing by the cliffs one evening. The beach at Legends was great - a big thanks to Michael and Orett for putting out our sunbeds and parasols each day - it was much appreciated.The kids spent a lot of time in the smaller swimming pool, as well as on the beach and took full advantage of the floats and sunbeds that were able to use from the hotel.The security staff at the neighbouring hotels were very friendly and kept a watchful eye over the children, a special thanks to Patrick at next door.We will definitely come again next year, as I didn't get to try out the evening entertainment. We just wanted to drop a line to tell you what a fabulous time we had. I did fill out the survey when we checked out. However, I felt it was a little too impersonal for the thanks we wanted to convey. We were thrilled with the improvements to the property. We were so busy planning the wedding that I hadn't visited your website, so the lounging/tanning pool area, spa cabana, gift shop, newly improved sundecks, and dinner deck, etc.... were a complete surprise. We also greatly appreciated the accommodation of the larger room!!!! As always, in Jamaica, we made some new friends and enjoyed the culture. We are very into Reggae music, and we able to see some good shows. We even went past Green Island to see Anthony B. Quite the adventure. We originally were supposed to have been married at the Rockhouse Hotel in April 2008, but changed our plans due to, too many family and friends wanting to come along. We decided to dine at the Rockhouse for Father's Day to see their property and such. They have an impressive lay out and the food was great, but the vibe was not the same as Samsara. We are very pleased we stayed with you at Samsara, and will continue to do so in the future. By the way, we both wanted to mention, and i'm sure you hear this a lot, but Melvin is our favorite. Very pleasant, helpful, and informative about your culture. He is just a really good person. My husband has known Melvin for almost 9 years now, and we are always excited to see him when we arrive. this is just to say thankyou for the most amazing holiday ever. we could never repeat seeing the stars of our youth, Gregory Isaacs, John, Sugar Minott and Yellowman we even saw twice. we rolled in at 3 am, did my back in dancing and had such a brilliant time. the staff at the hotel were brilliant. nothing was too much trouble and the cooler we were given kept Leroy's insulin cool. we had the best of rooms overlooking the sea just as i imagined. it was such a great first wedding anniversary, the two men who play in the hotel sang for us and the whole of the guests clapped and cheered and even took pictures. we met some great friends and are still in touch back in England we were given a lovely shady place on the beach and were well cared for by the lads there. everyone was so helpful but what i must commend is the fact that Leroy left his jacket behind when we left, it had his new I-Pod in the pocket, his kids had given him it for Xmas and had loaded all his favourite tunes. So he was heartbroken when he realised that it had been left. yet by the time we got off the bus in Mo' Bay the driver had been informed it had been found and it was on its way to the airport. what a wonderful staff you have, so honest and thoughtful they really made our holiday. With all the night life we still managed to walk around Negril, sample the local food. we loved your food, the staff were so kind to Leroy and on occasions he had some real Jamaica food put out for him specially . i don't know who made the soups but they were always so tasty. we visited the Sam Sara and i snorkeled off the cliffs, we had champagne in Ricks Cafe where Leroy got all romantic and got the band to sing Kingston Town which is our tune. every day was wonderful. i haven't danced so much in years. everyone was just so kind and helpful so please let all the staff know how much we appreciated them. it couldn't have been easy putting up with us mad old couple. I've sent a few pictures with this mail. as i write this we are having cold weather with snow blizzards and hailstones. this morning i walked in streets covered in crispy white snowy ice and its sure slippy. i just have to keep thinking of the warm sun in Jamaica to cheer myself up. Keriann, all of the other staff as well as Maurice and his beautiful wife...WE HAD THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME at Samsara ... as well as all the other surrounding points so easy to get to from Samsara. Our driver Lee you sent for us to pick us up from the airport was so very nice and very imformative and LOVED the music he played in between his stories of the places we past on our way to Samsara. Please tell him I said Hi. We were glad to have him take us back to the airport as well. He pretty much serranaded us with his wonderful music on the way back! The Pillar house .. LOVED THEM.. always clean .. i never had a chance to meet those who kept it up for us each day so please let them know we truly appreciate their hard work. Waking up in the morning with the sounds of the sea and the morning light coming in our window was just a wonderful experiance. My last stop was at PeeWees. Had to go for that was my dads nick name.. it was so very touching for me.. it actually brought tears to my eyes and i nicknamed Gayte .. not sure about the spelling, "little peewee" .. i could go on and on and on about the things we did around the country side and the WONDERFUL stay we had at your place but i know you have got lots to do for all the others staying so i had better go... and i did forget two things .. to buy some tea bags and to book for next year.. so.. you WILL be hearing from me soon!!! lots of snow and lots of unpacking today... when i get my snow bound bearings back.. .i'll pull out that credit card again!!!! Hi Samsara, Merlene, Keriann and Stacy! I just wanted to share with you all that once again you truly made my stay that much more welcoming. I must say that I am truly in awe about such positive interpersonal relations I always have with everyone I encountered during my stay from 12/6-12/10/07 in addition to my past yearly visits. My very first year staying in one of the pillar houses (T2)and just know that I will more than likely always reserve one in the future. In addition, my first time in the past 10 years also having lunch at Legends at it too was great! OWayne and Maureen both rock! I can't foget to mention Mr. Craig and the other gentleman who made me feel safe during my entire stay as well even when I arrived back wee hours of the morning. Mr. Mitchell Rice also extends his warm thanks and feelings of welcome as it was his very first experience not only to Jamaica but out of out Country of the United States, Boston, Massachusetts. I am always encouraging my friends and family even folk I do not know who state they are going to Jamaica to stay at Samsara on the cliffs! Hello Legends people, My name is Bram Verleg and I am from Holland. I stayed in Legends this september (room 712) and I had a great time in Jamaica. I am at work now, it's 9:30 in the morning and it's only 5 degrees outside. I miss the beautifull people, nice weather, sea, food (big mama)en especially the beach. I talked a lot with the security guy Michael and Orbit (snoop). We met an other dutch couple en thinking it over to come back next year. I had some problems with my camera and the manager put the pictures on a cd for me. The result is perfect and the foto's are also beautifull...thanks again for that... Thank you for the wonderful 5 days we had at Samsara & Legends. This was our 2nd trip to Samsara and won't be our last, actually I am in the process of booking January. Its always so sad when we leave to go back to the airport and say goodbye to our friends we meet at the hotel. Its nice to see the same friendly staff when we went back in October to have them remember us from January 2007. We love the fact the hotel is small and you don't get lost in the crowd like larger resorts. I have only good things to say about Samsara, its exactly what we need to get away from the hectic life back here. See you guys in January!

The very first moment I walked into the shady coolness of the main desk area of The Samsara Hotel and saw the ornamental gates, the comfy sofas, the smile on everyone's face, and felt the coolness sink deep into my skin, and bones I knew I was some where I would enjoy being. My first impression of The Samsara Hotel was correct I discovered my very first [full] day there. After checking in, which didn't take very long, I was taken to my rather impressive room and shown how to use the TV, and the AC key and the moment I stepped out on my sea view balcony I was so very glad I followed my instinct and decided to spend my time in Jamaica there, at the Samsara. The view of the sea, and the fresh sea air blowing into my room as I lay on my queen sized comfortable clean bed reminded me of days I have spent on that beautiful little island years ago, and made me so very happy to be back and even happier I picked Samsara to stay in. A walk to the cliffs to relax, and take a swim in the ocean, then a boat ride out to the coral reef with Famous Vincent, the live entertainment at night, the staff, and all of the help, all did everything they could do to make sure my stay would be enjoyable, and easy for me. The food was excellent, and there was as much or as little food as I wanted each meal and the Rum Punch [that flowed like a river] was a real treat ;-) EVERY ONE I met there, and I MEAN EVERY ONE was pleasant, friendly, helpful and more than willing to do any thing I asked of them and even in [some] cases that could easily be considered over and above the call of duty. Since I have a slight handicap and can not get around easily I was very pleased the staff was so nice, and so very willing to help... I really enjoyed my stay at The Samsara [what I can remember of it anyhow, you see I drank A LOT'A Rum Punch mon'] and yes, I WILL go back and stay at Samsara one day. How ever one small draw back I found was the fact that once the bar closed at 11:00 PM there was no where on the property to get a cold drink, that I was aware of anyhow, so.... may I suggest you either bring a small cooler with you when ya go, or buy a cooler there, and make sure to get some drinks, and ice to keep in that cooler just in case you are like me and would want a cold drink when ya wake up, or come to [what ever the case may be] in the middle of the night or before the bar & kitchen / dinning room opens. Perhaps Samsara will consider getting some soda machines folks can get cold soda's out'a at night, and who knows, maybe they could put some Red Stripe in there too ;-) GO TO Samsara... do yourself a favor, and bring your whole family, they'll all love it too. We just spent June 15-25 at your wonderful resort. This was our second trip back & we enjoyed as much as the first time. You have one of the best crews working there that we have ever met!!! My twin and I, along with another set of twins, stayed at Samsara from May 10-May 13. My twin and I didn't dress alike, but the other set did. I can speak for my twin and I (lol)....we enjoyed our stay at Samsara hotel, and we vowed with each other the next time we came back, we would be staying there. The staff was always nice...Melvin, George (who was nice enough to get me a mango from the tree), Taniesha, Narlisa, Kariann, Pauline, Vanroy, and John (who made sure we stayed safe during our stay). I'm sorry to anyone that I may have forgotten. We loved you all more than our hotel room. We can't wait to see you all again.

We just want everyone to know that Legends Resort is a paradise destination. The Resort is clean and secure, the staff are amazing and courteous at all times, the view is to die for; tourquoise clear water with white sand.The food is great in and around the resort. The visitors that come to Legends talk about their 7-11th return; something must be right at this place. We have expierenced many places in our travels; and this by far, is our number one recommendation. We'll be back...for sure...... Thank you again everyone in Legends

Thanks for again taking care of us with a great room at Legends on March 22-29. We had a very relaxing week, just what we wanted, beach all day long, with a few drinks mixed in! Our friendships with the employees at Legends continued to grow stronger, so many great people! We will be in touch later in the year as we plan on our 8th visit to Legends! Hi I just wanted to drop a line and let you ALL know how pleased I was with Samsara. We stayed in room 212 from March 2/07 to March 15/07. We were both a little nervous not knowing what to expect. We were very comfortable with everything. The view from our balcony was amazing. I would like to thank Pauline, who spent time with us chatting. Also Rose and Chef for the wonderful meals and cooking special meals for my vegetarian man. Thanks see you again!

We stayed at the Samsara from 02/28/07-03/03/07, and had a wonderful time. The staff was great made us feel right at home. To Wayne, Maureen, and Sharona we say a big thank you, and you are all wonderful. Those drinks were outstanding. The band was great on Thur. night. Our hotel room was always nice and clean when we would come back to it. I can't wait till I can return and see everyone. I just wanted to let you know how much my husband and I enjoyed our recent vacation at Legends Resort ( Feb 1- 12th - Room 304). Although I had originally had my heart set on a beach side room with balcony, we loved our little porch amidst the tropical gardens. The hotel location on Negril beach was marvellous and we just can't say enough positive things about your staff with special honourable mention of Shannon the bartender. His friendly personal manner in guest handling and his quick efficient addressing of happy hour at the Legends bar make him very much an asset to Legends. For your information, I owned and operated a Hospitality Mystery Shopping Company here in Toronto for eight years ( two years ago I sold the business concept). We performed audits of service quality, staff integrity and alcohol compliance at hotels, restaurants and nightclubs in Toronto, Ottawa, & Montreal. So I hope my comments and compliments have additional credibility........ We plan to return to Legends again next winter....wish it was next week though as we are currently shovelling ourselves out of 1 foot of snow here in Toronto. John and I would like to thank you for all your help with our reservation at Samsara last week, with arranging our upgrade to T-2. It was the best vacation we have had in Jamaica with the laid back atomsphere and courteous service from the hotel staff really made the vacation amazing. Our past vacations to Jamaica have been large resorts which may have all the amenties but after choosing Samsara we will never go back to resort vacations again. I want to thank the staff of the restaurant, front desk, the 3 piece band and each employee who made this vacation special for us even the owner who drove us to the beach. We will be back next January if not before then and will always stay in the pillar cottages, we didn't even make it to Rick's this time since we didn't need to with the beautiful sunset we had from our balcony. I have a small request if you could find out what song is played right after Police and Thieves on the songtrack everyday at the poolbar. I had asked OWayne and he said it was Toots & Maytals but I can't find the song with that band. Thank you again for all your help, Cathy & John Griffin

Our party of 8 was at the Legends for 1 week , starting on September 9th. We was very pleased with our stay. Verybody was so nice and willing to do anything for us. Shannon, the bartender made the best drinks. Micheal and George, the sercurity guys, helped us out on many of occasions. Orett, the boat captain showed us your beautiful island. Momma, the cook kept us fed well. I wish I could name everybody, unfortunately those are the ones I can remember. We plan to return next with a bigger group. We can not wait to get back! Just wanted you guys to know that I have been singing you lots of praises since I got back to the U.S. several days ago. We enjoyed our stay at Legends so much that we are thinking of foregoing the 3 year wait for another overseas vacation and coming back next summer.

My husband and I recently returned from our first stay at Samsara in pillar house T-3 and absolutely loved everything about it! The view is incredible - 180 degrees with no buildings, trees or anything but just the Caribbean Sea in sight! We especially enjoyed the staff. Maureen and Arlene were top knotch servers at the bar and in the restaurant, and Tanya kept our room so exceptionally clean, that my husband said he could bounce a quarter off the bed when she was finished making it each day! One day when it began to rain, she even came to the room to remove our beach towels from the balcony where they were drying so they wouldn't get wet. That's customer service at the highest level! Everyone --from the security guard to the gardener -- made us feel welcome and comfortable. The driver you arranged for our transport from the airport - Steve - was absolutely the best. We spent many hours with him touring the island during the week and will recommend his driving skills and knowledge of the island to anyone needing a fantastic tour guide and safe driver! Even your general manager was a treat. One evening the electricity went out on the entire property, and he came knocking on our door immediately with candles and a personal apology. Within an hour the lights were back on. We can't wait to return this fall to kick back, relax and have a ball! Legends offers a nice change of pace with its beach, but you can't beat those cliffs for snorkeling! You made my first trip to Jamaica incredibly memorable for us! We stayed at Legends from 31 march until 14 april in a marvellous beach-view room. In the restaurant is a permanent exhibition of the "legends" of a century. (hence the name...) Marilyn Monroe, Landrover, Kitchen Princes to name a few. They give the place a "vacation atmosphere" that makes you feel good right from the start. That feeling is getting sustained and amplified by the people who work in Legends, the management the waitresses, the waiters, kitchen personel (the food is great !)and even the guy who cleans the pool. They may not realize it but actualy they are the "living legends". They make your vacation unforgettable, ask anyone who stayed there ! Hello from Terry and Gloria We just returned home from Jamaica and we stayed at your Samsara Resort Hotel on the west end. We had the times of our lives there. Your staff especially Melvin and Monica were just the greatest people we met in Jamaica. I don't know what Melvin does at your resort but what ever it is he is good at it and I want you to tell him Hello from Terry and Gloria. He was so very friendly and helpful to us. This was our first time out of the United States and we choose Jamaica. Monica I believe is the house keeper there for the rooms. I personally want you to tell her for us thank you for the great job she did cleaning our room and making us feel welcome there. I don't know about Jamaica but in the US good help is hard to come by. We learned alot from these two people and wanted to personally tell them thank you if you will pass this along to them. The fella at the front desk that helps people to cross the street was very kind to us also. I took hundreds of pictures of your resort and posted them on my pesonal web page for our friends to see. My husband and I stayed for a week in January/February at Legends with our best friends and we had a WONDERFUL time! After arriving in a different country with no luggage (airline lost our luggage the previos day) we were unsure of how the rest of our vacation was going to turn out. We can not begin to say enough great things about Legends and the staff. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The beach is wonderful and the food...fabulous!! Yvonne, Celia, Angela, Rohan, Michael, Patrick...you are all FANTASTIC!! Yvonne, you brightened my day every morning seeing your smiling face while cooking eggs! We can not thank you enough for the hospitality we received! Our luggage did arrive two days later, but we had a GREAT time even before it arrived. I had to let you know what a wonderful time our whole wedding party had at Legends (and Samsara). The wedding couldn't have been more beautiful, thanks to you. Your staff at Legends is the best. Dear Legends, We just returned home and I wanted to write immediately. My family and I were at Legends from 12/24 - 12/30 for a "different Christmas" this year. The goal was to take our two youngest - our son who is 14 and a daughter who is 16 years old away to strengthen our family bonds. We found Legends and the staff a most delightful and beautiful experience, one that we will carry with us the rest of our lives. We found our room to be clean as a whistle, and our housekeeper kept it that way. When we needed something, we called the front desk and they responded within minutes. We went all-inclusive and for us it turned out to be the best thing with the kids. Yvonne, the cook, what can I say??? She was so kind and gentle and warm-hearted. She took care of us and made sure that the children ate, and ate well. Yvonne makes fantastic food, and if you have the chance to taste her tuna fish sandwich, you are in for a treat. (she puts scotch bonnet in there and it was utterly heaven) The conch, fish, chicken, veggies, breakfast - EVERYTHING was tasty tasty tasty!! There was a gentleman who tended bar, usually during the evening - I cannot remember his name, but he was so kind to us. Angela was a jewel and her smile and positive attitude was a delight to see every morning. Andrea, a waitress was gentle, sweet and caring in so many ways. We relied on these staff members and trusted them so much! Also, everyone from the maintenance man to the front desk to the nice woman in the office who wears glasses...I cannot say enough about what a joy Legends turned out to be. Best of all, my children had a fantastic time. Captain Moses and Duane (aka Lobster) were such an asset - especially Lobster who became friends with my kids. The security man who we had most of the time watched my kids like a hawk - he took his job seriously and we appreciated that. We found the beach a delight - we were not hassled at all, the higglers left us alone, and once we walked the beach with the kids, we were treated by everyone with respect and that big beautiful Jamaican smile. No problem, mon! My husband and I had such a peace of mind there - I have never seen him as relaxed EVER. He is a new man after this trip, and I am also renewed. I cried like a baby on the plane home. I will always carry Jamaica in my heart and cannot wait to come back. You will definately see us again. Legends is a wonderful place and I would not hesitate to recommend it to families. We are thankful to the staff at Legends who made our holiday so very special - If anyone needs to talk to us about taking kids to Legends, have them get in touch with me. I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to write, but life was waiting when we got back and it's just been one thing after another. Everytime things get stressful, we just put in a Reggae CD, close our eyes, and pretend we're back in Negril. : o) I wanted to thank you for all the trouble you went to to accomodate us and let you know that your efforts are so greatly appreciated. The week we spent at Samsara was a dream, and it's all we talk about since. We are DEFINITELY coming back, although we don't know when that will be. We thought it would be a once in a lifetime vacation but now that we've been there, we know that once is just not enough. We've already decided, we'll do whatever it takes to get back again soon. The island is so beautiful and everyone was so welcoming. We never thought we'd find a place where we felt so at home and so relaxed. He turned 18 on the Monday that we left, and we shared a first “Red Stripe” with our friends. And of course we had to get a shot with our favorite lady! On another note the new lobby is beautiful! Did the T-Shirt make it to you? I left it at the front desk at Legends, as we just didn’t make it up to Samsara this trip… See you in November!

Dear Sabrina, It's now 3 days since we left Jamaica and though we're back physically, our hearts are still back in Negril. I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful and amazing our stay was at Samsara. But I'm going to try! Your hotel (I hesitate to call it that....it's more like paradise) was so much more than we ever expected. You were right about the seclusion and the privacy. That's exactly the kind of place we enjoy the most. The physical beauty all around us took our breath(s) away over and over, especially the view from the balcony of our Pillar House. Each morning we would get up between 5:30 and 6, make a pot of Jamaican coffee and find our way onto the balcony just in time to see the fishing boats making their way across the water in the distance. Before 8 am, we'd walk around and then sit at the bar, listening to Iceline (sp?) upstairs getting breakfast ready as she sang a gospel song with that beautiful voice of hers. After breakfast, we'd find our spot under one of the canopies and just "hang" for the morning. Getting a little sun, swimming and snorkling off the cliff (Stephen jumped and dived, I chickened out, preferring the ladder), reading, talking to new friends and just enjoying the scenery and the changing colors as the sun got brighter. The afternoon was much of the same, only by then, we were into the rum punch. Over the course of the week, I think we tried nearly every rum concoction on the Inclusive drink menu. We're not big drinkers by any means, but we that week, we indulged, I must admit. Words can't describe the sunsets, as you well know. No matter where we stood, on our balcony or down by the water, or at the bar or upstairs in the restaurant.....we were blown away by the beauty of those sunsets. The food was very very good! Your were right, it's pretty basic, but it was perfect for us. And everything was delicious. I didn't hesitate to eat anything, by the way, or drink the water. As soon as I got there, I knew it was all perfectly safe. One night, we went up to the Rock House for dinner and that was very nice as well, but such a different atmosphere. Not as easy and laid back as Samsara. We ventured out a few times.....to Legends one day when it was rainy and cloudy, just to check it out, and walk on the beach. That was fun, but it's such a different world down there. So congested with one little hotel after another. We bought t-shirts, coffee, and a wooden mask from a terrific artist on the beach whose work we fell in love with. Then had lunch at Legends. But quite honestly, we couldn't wait to get back to Samsara! Another day, we took Moses' boat to the coral reef. It was just the two of us and 3 young men, all very nice. While snorkling, Stephen's wedding ring slipped off and sank to the bottom. Immediately, one of the guys put on his gear and jumped in, diving down to the ocean floor over and over. Finally, Stephen spotted the ring, and our hero retrieved it for us. What a relief! What an adventure! The snorkling was fabulous, by the way. Both at the reef and off the cliffs of Samsara. We did Mayfield Falls another day and that was another great excursion. There were only 6 in our group and our guide was fantastic. We also had one of the digital photographers with us snapping lots of pictures. I could not believe the sophisticated operation that have in that photo shack! I would never have guessed that these guys would be so computer and technology savvy!!! And of course, we walked away with a CD of photos, which they burned for us in about 2 minutes! The heat up in the Pillar House did not bother us one bit, due to that 5 speed fan overhead. We were very comfortable at night. During the day, it was a bit warm up there, but we didn't spend much time there, only in the morning and the evening. Your staff......Sabrina, you have the most conscientious and devoted staff we've ever come across! Aside from Nicole and Pauline who watched out for us and run a very tight ship, I would like to mention some people in particular: Tanya who cleaned our room and made those fantastic towel creations each day on the bed. I have pictures of them all! The first day we got there and realized we had no shampoo, she ran down the road and picked some up for us. Iceline (sp?) who served us breakfast and lunch. Maureen, who served us our dinners. Dwayne, who also waited on us from time to time and kept us laughing with his riddles and puzzles to solve. The bartender in the afternoon and evening.....I'm sorry but we never did get his name. Tall, good looking, great smile. I'm sure you know the one. The front desk staff and security guard.....and everyone else who was so helpful. Oh, and we can't forget about Lee! Our plane was delayed getting in, and he had to wait an hour and a half for us at the airport. But he greeted us with an enormous, warm smile and gave us quite the guided tour during the ride to Negril. We found the Jamaican people to be so friendly and hospitable every where we went. I liked the fact that there were relatively few Americans there. We met a couple from Philadelphia, but others people from Britain, Germany, Australia, all over. That was very refreshing. People were friendly, and rather subdued, which is more to our liking than what I imagine to be a more raucous crowd down at Sandals or Beaches or Rui. I know this is getting to be quite long, so I'll end by saying that it was a dream come true. We can't wait to get back to Samsara. In the meantime, I grabbed a bunch of your brochures from the front desk and intend to spread them around and talk about Samsara every chance I get. So if you get any guests from NY in the future, you'll know how they found out about the place! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Karen

I wanted to express how I felt that my stay at Legends from May 26, 2005 to May 30, 2005 was great! All the staff was very friendly and courteous, especially the chef and the bartenders. There was not a big selection of food, but the food tasted fabulous and the drinks were great, I really enjoyed this vacation. This is the most relaxed I have been in my life. I thought I'd drop I line and tell you we appreciate you getting this room for us during our stay. We again totally enjoyed our stay and all the great employees at Samsara. We will return to our favorite Jamaican hotel in the future.

We wanted to thank you again for the fine wedding arrangments that you and your team made for us. We had an uneventful return trip home and arrived on Thursday at about 8pm Central time. The temperature was about 40 and today it reached a record high for this date of 51 degrees. Not quite up to Jamaican standards but it made it easier to readjust. Chad left a picture of the wedding buffet at legends for you and I wanted to make sure that you received it. I understand that you also want one of the wedding arch. Chad and Sophia only had two pictures with the arch so we will need to have one made and send it back to you. Did you want only the arch or the arch with Chad and Sophia in it? I took many digital photos and I can look through those to see what I have with the arch. I know I took one of the arch alone but not sure if I have any of only the wedding couple. Let me know what you are interested in and we'll get them to you. Your recommendation of Gary was a good one. He has a gift that is evident when you see his photos. Thanks for referring him to us. Hello fellow friends, I am writing you this e-mail to let you know how much my wife(michelle) and I(dave) enjoyed ourself with our stay we had at the Lengends property. I would definately return to you place in the future and would like to express my wife and I feeling's toward some of yor employee's who made our stay wonderful. Sebastian- what could Isay that you should already know he is wonderful and care's alot about the facility and the people.Angela-she is a wonderful women who doesnt mind going that extra mile to make you happy.Lancelot-was someone who always was making sure we had everything we wanted and always had a smile. Jackie-what could I say ? she was wonderful and I always looked forward to seeing her in the morning to ask me if I sleep alright.Shelly ann- well she was a site to see anyways (my wife had to keep an eye on me with her around..just kidding) but she was awesome as well always taking care of our needs. Anthony- was as good as the other's and got to know him towards end of out stay. Good Morning Keriann, Well we made it back safely. I just wanted to thank you for all of your help in making our vacation so enjoyable. As usual we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Your resort and staff were wonderful. We are hoping to come back next year, but my son proposed to his girlfriend while we were there and they are planning their wedding date for next January so not sure what we will be able to work out for our next trip as of yet. It is so hard to be back, my body is sitting at my desk wading through all the work that has accumulated during my time off, but my mind is still at Samsara's poolside. My wife and I celebrated our wedding honeymoon at your resort, September 8-15, 2004. Our first few days were spectacular and we enjoyed the Jamaican hospitality, all-inclusive. Unfortuneately, we also experienced the forces of Hurrican Ivan, that devastated the beaches on Friday, September 10 through the duration of our stay. We were glad to be alive. We were especially grateful for the wonderful care we received from your staff despite the calamitous weather conditions. We never went a day without food, and even had food delivered to our rooms in the eye of the storm. We especially remeber the names of 3 wonderful ladies who went above and beyond. Their names are: Janice, the head bartender; Beverly, our housekeeper, and most of all we sincerely thank Yvonne, our cook and server. Because we spent the majority of our vacation unable to truly experience Legends, we were hoping you would consider granting us a commplimentary trip. Dear Ariel, Charmaine, Carlos, Angela, Nioka, Evan, Barbara, Hillary, Randy and all!! Thanks you all again for a magnificent time!! We have never felt so at home anywhere apart from home! You made our vacation a time that we will remember forever.. My wife and I just returned from our first ever trip to Jamaica. We were booked into the Legends hotel. We stayed 10 days (Nov. 3-13th). Just before we left on our trip, we read some reviews and thought we had made a mistake. Let me tell you how it went. When we arrived, we walked down a stone path under a canopy of flowers and trees (the pictures on the website are older and they don’t do the resort justice. The trees and flowers are fantastic!). We were greeted at the office by Charmaine, one of the managers. We were shown to one of the Garden rooms across the street from the “main” hotel. We ascended an outside Spanish style staircase to the second floor. Our room was well appointed and as clean as a whistle (also air conditioned with a great ceiling fan!). Our maid kept it just that way through our entire stay. Across the room from the entry door were double glass doors that opened onto a balcony that – again – was surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. My wife and I spent hours sitting there together just talking and taking it all in. The next morning we went for breakfast. It was great! Evan and Barbara served up a wonderful variety of foods with a joyful attitude! The wait staff (Angela, Nioka, Simone and Hillary) treated us like gold! (Every meal after that was equally as good and the service just as fantastic!) Any other needs that we had were quickly taken care of by Carlos, Ariel (the other managers) or Charmaine – and ALWAYS with courtesy and a smile! Then there’s that wonderful beach! Randy was the man on the beach. He took care of our every need, and we became fast friends. We sat under a palm tree, sipping Pina Coladas. Every so often we would get up and go into that magnificent ocean. Do you get the picture? One thing we kept asking ourselves while we were was "How could anyone complain about this place?" One writer said he would not recommend Legends to a first time visitor to Jamaica. The ONLY thing that would keep me from recommending Legends to anyone is that my wife and I want it all to ourselves!! Bill & Tina

I recently stayed at Legends Beach Resort with my 2 best friends. We were there from 4/3 - 4/8 in room 611. It was our first time visiting Jamaica and I felt compelled to write to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay there. We felt the staff at Legends were very friendly and it was very obvious how hard they all worked. The ladies that worked in the office were very patient with us, as we were in and out a lot, cashing in $ and asking a billion questions. One lady, named Janet, was very accomadating. I also wanted to make note of a gentleman employed there by the name of Sylvester Morris. He was exceptionally nice to us, answered a lot of questions for us, and I feel we left there making a new friend with him. We were impressed with how hard he worked- we saw him every day we were there! I think it is important to let a business know when they have a good employee, and we felt compelled to tell you how impressed we were with Sylvester. He was very professional and helpful!! I'd also like to note that the housekeeping service was very good, our room was always very clean. We also made friends with Captain Moses and his staff and was very impressed with them, too. They took us snorkling, our first time, and was very patient with us (we were a little scared at first, being from Indiana). They helped us out a lot. We will recommend Legends to anyone we speak with, and hope to return as soon as we can!! Thanks again for providing us with such friendly service!! Sincerely, Erin

3 of my friends and I went on a STS spring break trip to Negril. We stayed in Hotel Samsara, and we met the BEST bartenders in all of Jamaica when we spent our days drinking by the beach at Legends. Hello Sabrina & all at Samsara, Had a great time, the Hotel is very neat and clean, the grounds are nice, the staff is great - Ron, Judy, Hillary, etc. The food was much better than I had heard - the pan fried snapper at lunch was always good, tried a pizza the last day, too - also good. Dinners were always good - not a lot of items to choose from, but to me it is better to make a few items very well as opposed to many items done mediocre. We spent two days at Legends, also. The food was good there, also, staff there also very good. I loved the "Zombie" drink!!!! I am going to post a nice review of Samsara & Legends on www.negril.com, the only thing that I would change is the fact that when we got there, the office was closed, so we couldn't check-in until the next morning. We were supposed to have two beds, as well, but at least we got a small cot type bed the second day. I think we ran the air-conditioning the first day, and that was it, and although I had asked for an ocean view, I loved the view from 209 - too bad it doesn't have two beds, because when we come back next year, I would ask for the same room!!! All in all a great trip, Dave from Room 209

We would like to say a big "thank you" to the whole staff of the Legends for your great service given to us from October 30 to November 20, 2002. We had a really unforgetable time at your hotel. Everybody treated us so friendly, so it was a very special time for us. You made it. We're looking forward to come back as soon as possible, for sure again at the Legends. We are very sorry, because we don't remember everybody's name ( hello to Nadine and Lilly ). The reason is, we had our own german nice nicknames for some of you. Roscoe , Linda, Mike and I want to thank you for our second great trip to Negril and stay at Samsara. Things could not have been nicer and the place looked so wonderful compared to Nov 2001 after Hurricane Michelle! Everyone from the houskeeping staff, to every bartender (that we knew on first name basis from day 1), to Frank the Juta driver, was wonderful and a true joy to deal with! We were much lazier this year and spent more time on sight than usual. The TV's were a wonderful addition, we loved having the morning news. We have tentative plans to come back at the same time, end of November, 2003. Thanks again, it was a great trip and we loved it as much as last year. Hope to see you in 11 months

Hi Sabrina... Well, the vacation laundry is finally done so I figured I'd drop you a line. It was so nice to finally meet you!!! Was hoping you'd stop by Legends during the week to visit...hope Bob didn't scare you...LOL!! Just so you know we had a wonderful time in Negril. The weather was perfect...lots of sun & warm breezes. Everyone truly went out of their way to make this trip one of the BEST. The food on the buffet was very good...especially when you had all of Bob's favorite "eats"...eggs (sunnyside up), fried dumplings, hash browns, chocolate muffins & mashed potatoes. My faves were stew beef, curried goat, omlettes & EVERYTHING on the Italian Buffet!!! Now I'm glad we had the oceanview room so we could work off all those calories :) I like to call those steps...my Jamaican Stairmaster, kinda hard to get used to in the beginning but by the end of the week, they're a breeze. Guess we'll have to add #501 to #306 as being our favorites. Thanks again for coming up with a room @ Legends on Saturday!! A couple of days we went over to SamSara...we haven't been there since you've remodeled the bar & pool area. What a relaxing place to go for some cocktails & sunset. Maurice remarked to us one morning how much he loves SamSara...well, walking thru the gardens was so peaceful...I think I used up 1/2 roll of film just taking pictures of the plants & flowers. As much as we enjoy the beach it's always nice to know that SamSara is there for "that" change of pace! Bob & I hope you & Maurice don't get too tired of us raving about your resorts & the FANTASTIC people you have working for you. I always make it a habit on the negril.com message board to tell people that Legends & SamSara have the BEST people on staff...they don't get no friendlier/efficient than...Yvonne, Michelle, Andrea, Clover, Ralston, Ruhon, Johnny Money, Norma (Housekeeping), Maxine & Marcy (Beach Security), Lee (cab driver across the street) AND the folks over at SamSara...Lily, Ron, Carlos, Nyota & Julie. i would like to thank the samsara and its staff (hi, lilly! hi ivy!) for the wonderful vacation they recently provided me. if one is going to negril, one can't do better than a stay at the samsara on the cliffs of negril's very cool west end. the setting is unique--and gorgeous. one has a choice of any type of accomodation from a pillar house to a cottage to a hotel room. the breakfasts are superb, the dining room staff wonderful (hello, all), and one can eat to one's hearts content. there is no better offshore snorkeling (which i call "instant serenity!") than that found off the cliffs of the samsara. one can go west and see the cliffs, a cave, and many, many fish, or to the east where there is a fantastic large cave and coral--all free. if one wants to go on a glass bottom boat to snorkel the reefs or just look "through the looking glass", the boats cruise by the samsara every morning. one can snorkel almost to the beach area...however, if it is the beaches you want, the samsara provides a courtesy bus that leaves for its sister hotel, legends, at 10am and returns at 4 pm. great for getting a tan, having a few drinks,--or shopping!! the samsara is within walking distance of a grocery store, small shopping plazas, ital restaurants, and not far from rick's cafe--where you might see the "green flash". (the samsara itself has a great restaurant and also entertainment so if it is pure r and r you want. you need never leave "home".) if, however, you want to explore, the samsara provides many, many tours from which to choose. your fellow vacationers at the samsara will be from many countries. as usual, i met the most congenial people this year: folks from england, italy and germany, as well as americans. it was great to meet people from so many different places. the samsara truly has an international flavor!! and no one is nicer or more willing to go out of her way to make your stay special than sabrina and her staff. i have stayed at this hotel five times and am already planning my sixth!! so, greetings to all my jamaican friends, and i hope to see you very soon! thanks again for a fabulous eight days. all best, shelle s.

TO Everyone at SamSara: I just wanted to say Thank You for a wonderful stay at your Hotel!!!!!! We arrived at SamSara on Thursday July 25th at about 9:30. And we stayed until the following Friday at about 12:15 when are transport shuttle picked us up. This was our first trip to Negril and we are already looking into re booking for a longer stay next summer. The Staff, especially Patricia, Nicole, Miranda and Ron (night bartender) were awesome and gave us very good service. We were booked into 2 different rooms room #116 (my niece and her friends) and Myself and my nephew in rm#215 upstairs. I don’t usually write thank you notes but as I work in Customer service my self I felt it necessary to let you know how we all felt about our stay at SamSara. Everyone was so nice and helpful that the trip was truly enjoy full and we look forward to spending time there again next summer.

Just wanted to let you know that I had a fabulous time staying at your resort. I will recommend it to everyone and hope to return asap!

I had to write and tell you how much I enjoyed our stay at Legends. The staff was perfect. I want to especially mention George the groundskeeper. He was helpful with uor luggage and all questions we had about the hotel and the town. Marlin your bartender was so nice. He informed us about all aspects of your dining and cocktails. The rest of your staff was perfect also. The omelet maker and server at breakfast was so nice!! You can be assured that all our friends will know that Legends will be the place to stay!!! I wanted to write and thank you for all of your assistance with our wedding. Todd and I were very pleased with the food, we loved the band and thought the setting was lovely. All of our guests commented on it. Special thanks to Lilly who helped me with all of the last minute details (such as the additional flowers I forgot to order) and kept me from getting too frazzled. Hi Sabrina! Amy and I just returned from our weeks stay at Legends. We found things to be quite nice. We had a great room above the bar with a beach view. All of the staff that we met was very friendly and helpful. The guys were working hard around the place painting and cleaning up. We spent two days at Samura. We really enjoyed this. We road the shuttle bus. It was very handy for going back and fourth. All in all we were very pleased with Legends and definitely will recommend it to other people. Thanks for your help. I just returned to Florida after staying at Legends last week. I must tell u that I thought everything was great and I will definitely be back real soon. All staff was friendly but I took exception to your security guard. He went out of his way to make sure my friends and I were ok every night. My buddies and I appreciated his efforts greatly. We had the most wonderful week again at Samsara. We really love it there and room 201 is starting to feel like home. Your staff was very friendly and helpful and the weather was perfect.
